Teresa Sdralevich was born in Milan in 1969. After completing a degree in Political Sciences at the University of Bologna and an internship at the 'Ecole des loisirs' publishing house in Paris, she joined the 'Ecole nationale supérieure des arts visuels' (Belgian higher institute for visual arts) of the Cambre in Brussels. She has also trained in silkscreen printing.
As a poster designer, she has taken part in international events and organised projects which celebrate the poster as a privileged medium and space for creation.
She was recently chosen by the Anatome Gallergy and the SNCF to create the Belgian poster for the 70th anniverisary of French railways.
In 2001, she won the "Sappi Ideas that Matter" award which enabled her to fund a campaign for a centre in Milan which cares for abused children.
She also illustrates for and works with different magazinzs. Since 2007, she is artistic director for the publishing house 'Fusi orar'. "Out of Paper. Posters", the book which showcases her poster designs, was published in 2006 (www.5c.be).
