At the Brussels Walloon Delegation in ParisBorn in Liege in 1955. Her ancestors were iron and tobacco manufacturers. After studying Romance language philology, she taught in Liege and Africa.
However she always wished to write. She suffered from severe insomnia. After years abroad, she returned to Belgium to work as a bilingual secretary (English and Spanish).
She then started to write in the early nineties. Her insomnia disappeared.
From 1995 on, she wrote novels, short stories, poetry, radio plays.
In particular she has published Day in the Life of a Dog (Jour du chien, Minuit, 1996), Letters from a Cold Country (Lettres du pays froid, Gallimard, 2003), Notes from a submissive country girl (Carnets d'une soumise de province, Gallimard, 2004) and The Seal (Le Phoque, éditions du Rouergue, 2008, Impressions nouvelles, 2007) illustrated by Goele Dewanckel.
