Several venues in Paris (see below)Bart Moeyaert was born in Bruges in 1964 and native to Flanders writes in Dutch. He published his first novel Off Key Duet in 1983 when aged 19. At present his works comprise many books for children and adults, television scripts as well as plays. Some of his works, such as Hornet's Nest, probe the foundations of identity and the fragile equilibrium of society. He has received two literary prizes: the Norwegian Oversetterpremien and the German Jugenliteraturpreis.
