After decades of economic success and enlargements, the European Union has now reached a crossroads. There is an increasingly clear divide between the elite and the European peoples who demand something more spiritual as well as traditional technocratic management.
During the French presidency of the European Union, we have invited French and German experts to Erlangen to discuss the future of the European socio-economic model, as well as reforms to be planned.
- Participants:
Dr Markus Söder, Bavarian minister for federal and European affairs
Dr Arnaud Lechevalier, associate researcher at the Marc Bloch centre in Berlin
Professeur Tilo Schabert, professor in political sciences at the university of Erlangen Nuremberg
- Chair:
Gérard Foussier, editor-in-chief of the magazine "Documents, Dokumente"
