Every European Union member country, whatever its size, produces publications for young people. From north to south, east to west, these are very varied.

European tour in 27 picture books:
As part of the exhibition, each of the 27 European Union member countries will be represented by an illustrated children's book, symbolizing its contemporary production. The publishing for young people in the country concerned will be presented in detail: the number of inhabitants, the number of children aged under 15, the number of titles published and the number of titles published for young people, the number of publishers, etc.

And also, on November 27th and 28th, two days of meetings will identify the current market situation for young people's books in the various European countries (particular aspects and points which these literary worlds, influenced by fable and which share many of its heroes, have in common).

Professionals (authors, editors, translators, researchers, librarians) from all over Europe will participate over these two days.

Objectives:
• to better understand books for young people from the various European countries - and weave links;
• to reflect on the future role of "youth books" in the construction of a shared European culture.
