PARISCIENCE takes place over a period of 5 days in the prestigious facilities of the national Museum of Natural History: the Grand Amphithéâtre (250 seats) and the Auditorium de la Grande Galerie de l'Évolution (120 seats).
About fifty scientific films are presented, with free admission, followed by discussions with researchers and with film directors and producers.
Certain sessions are opened to children.
Special discussion sessions are arranged centring on a panel of important figures from the sciences, the audiovisual world and scientific culture, based on scientific and social themes.
The Festival also enables a professional public - researchers, scientific organisations, political institutions, distributors, producers, authors and directors - to discuss the major questions involved in malcing scientific culture and knowledge available using audiovisual mears.
All of the films presented are international and recent productions, and several of them have never been shown.
PARISCIENCE invites the Europe of sciences! Scientific documentaries and films from the Union's 27 countries to get a feeling for European research and to question scientists and directors-producers from the countries represented.
