July 11 to 13, 2008

This professional seminar aims to foster a better understanding of phenomena at work in manners of facing reality and the "construction of self" in children and teenagers, through the prism of fashion photography and the practice of photographic self-portrait. The seminar's proceedings will be based on theoretical and educational approaches, testimonials of experiences carried out in class, and encounters with photographers within the international photography festival. The seminar's main purpose is to define what is at stake today, and what modes of image interpretation can be used in schools. The theme adopted for this year will take on a specifically European dimension, as part of the European cultural Season.
