A new miller, Gunnar Huttunen, has just settled in a small village in the north of Finland. However, he is a bit strange, sometimes a clown and genius imitator, sometimes overwhelmed by despair, moody and depressed, shouting at the moon to ease his anxiety. Huttunen makes enemies. To such a degree that in the village, it is quickly considered that the miller is a dangerous fool to be shut away behind the four walls of an asylum.
