Orly and Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airportsMarco Godinho was born in 1978 in Salvaterra de Magos in Portugal. At the age of 9, he arrived in Echternach in Luxemboug. He studied at the National School for Fine Arts in Nancy and followed courses at the Dusseldorf Academy of Arts in Germany as well as at ECAL, the Lausanne University of Art and Design in Switzerland. Between 2005 and 2006 he was a researcher at ENBA, the Atelier National de Recherche Typographique in Nancy. Then in 2006 and 2007 he was invited to do a residency by FRAC, the Regional Fund for Contemporary Art for Champagne-Ardennes in Reims. He also enjoyed a stay at the Cité International des Arts in Paris after winning the Visual Arts Bienniel in Luxembourg. Today, he lives and works between Paris and Luxembourg. His approach is established around the constant relationships that we maintain faced with time and space. His works aim to upset the status of the objects that they represent and give the viewer an active role, that of continually reinventing the rules of the game.
