Richard Long Exhibition
agenda
Until 16th November 2008Practical
Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, 06000 NiceWe would like to follow him to the other end of the earth; creep behind him when he explores the desert, climbs the mountain, dashes across the plain; slip into his footsetps, like an animal lying in wait: say nothing, don't move, don't tremble even in the wind, and watch him. Nothing more. Somtimes he slows his steps, sometimes he caresses the landscape with his eyes. He stops, sets up his humble kit. Rubs his feet in the sand, coming and going until he draws a perfect line. He picks up pumice stones to draw a circle on the ground. He collects fragments of lava to spread them in a spiral. Richard Long is one of the most famous land art artists, and Nice Museum is paying tribute to him… through an exceptional exhibition until 16th November.
