Why have you decided to support this event?

We want to let people know about Total's attachment to the above-mentioned convictions. And also because the priorities of the French presidency of the European Union include energy security of European and the struggle against planetary warming, two essential subjects at the art of the strategy of the Group, which is one of the leading European energy suppliers.

 

More generally, what kinds of support is your company offering for cultural activities?

Total's sponsorship is seen in three fields: protection of the environment, solidarity, and highlighting the cultural heritage. In the field the Group supports initiatives related to its trades, such as certain archaeological excavations or the enrichment of the mineralogy collection of the National Museum of Natural History… But also some projects consistent with international activities. A good example is Total's support for creation, in the Louvre Museum, of a department dedicated to the arts of Islam. Finally, along to the attention it pays to the dialogue of cultures, the Group develops an entire proximity activity, the two most important manifestations of which are in support for major popular exhibitions and for the "fondation du Patrimoine" (Heritage Foundation).
