- On: 24.12.2008
The presidency of the Council of the European Union expresses its deep regret following the decision by Fiji’s interim government to expel New Zealand’s High Commissioner, which is seen as a setback in Fiji’s relations with a key Pacific Islands Forum partner. This move can only serve to enhance the importance of the Pacific Islands Forum Summit to take place on 27 January 2009 in Papua New Guinea.
