Statement by the presidency Council of the European Union on Mauritania

The Presidency of the Council of the European Union welcomes the release of the democratically elected head of the Mauritanian state Sidi Mohamed Ould Cheikh Abdallahi.
It recalls that the solution to the current crisis will be achieved by a return to constitutional order.
