The 9th EU-Armenia Cooperation Council will take place on the margins of the General Affairs and External Relations Council in Brussels. It is an excellent opportunity to take stock of relations between the EU and Armenia, particularly in relation to progress on the 2006 action plan.
This meeting is part of a broader approach based on the EU's commitment to deepening its relations with the countries in the Southern Caucasus and promoting stability in the region. Ministers will therefore discuss regional and international issues directly affecting security and stability in the region and also have in-depth discussions on relations with Turkey, Russia and the situation in the Caucasus.
