European Education Fair 2008

This event, aimed at the general public, attracts on average over 500 000 visitors, including young people with their parents, school groups, teachers and European education professionals, will have a European theme this year on the occasion of the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
On its tenth anniversary, the whole fair will therefore be 'Europeanised' by creating a "place de l'Europe" at the heart of the fair which will host European institutions and ministries, and by events such as the announcement of the results of the Handinnov competition, which rewards the best European initiatives for the integration of disabled pupils at school, and the prize-giving ceremony for the Europe internet video competition for secondary school pupils launched by the Ministry for Education.
At the stand of the French Ministry for Education and the French Ministry for Higher Education and Research, a specific area will be dedicated to our European partners so that the Member States can inform visitors about their education systems and make the general public aware of training and education issues.
