Conference on the governance and performance of education establishments in Europe

In Europe, several organizational and steering models for education establishments coexist. The traditional model based on a rigid hierarchical structure shows its limits in terms of performance. This conference will enable a comparison between the diverse governance methods of education establishments within the Member States, especially with regard to autonomy, as well as an analysis of the effects of their development on the improvement of school performance. It will bring together 250 European experts including representatives of headmasters, inspection units, local communities, parent-teacher associations, institutional decision-makers, training managers, social and economic stakeholders and voluntary organisations.
