Within the framework of the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union, a large, free concert celebrating cultural diversity was organised on 4 October last in Uhuru Park by the French Alliance in Nairobi. The European Commission delegation, Austrian and Finnish embassies and Kenyan Ministry for Culture and Social Services also participated in this major event that attracted almost 30,000 people despite lashing rain.
