The participants will debate the ambitions and the challenges of the 'SET-Plan'.

An inaugural session will open the conference, followed by three sessions on:
- research prospects;
- industry expectations;
- the implementation of the SET-Plan.

The conference is targeted at all those stakeholders who are likely to contribute to reaching EU energy policy objectives, including politicians, European Commission and Member State representatives, MPs, directors of research centres and energy-producing industries, journalists, etc.

Industrialists will be present at the exhibition which will be held at the conference venue, to showcase their expertise in technologies to reduce current and future CO2 emissions. Covering a total area of 1 600 square metres, the exhibition will provide a venue for meetings and exchanging ideas during the free time scheduled in the day's programme.
