This event, which was organised at the initiative of the Directorate of Legal Affairs of the French economy and budget ministries, aims to review the current situation with regard to active social inclusion - the integration of job seekers, people with disabilities and the implementation of non-discriminatory policies - into European public procurement, and to use the occasion to raise awareness about French policy in this field.
This event will also highlight the different conditions of implementation of the integration clauses set out in European directives.
This will be a valuable opportunity for exchanges of views on current practices, both in the form of addresses from experts and round table discussions. The morning session will be devoted to active social inclusion and the related legal issues, while the afternoon will focus on specific experiences of public procurement officers, companies and employment agencies, and people with disabilities.
The symposium, which will facilitate the exchange of best practices between EU Member States, will be opened by Martin Hirsch, the French High Commissioner for Active Solidarity against Poverty.
