As part of the French Presidency of the European Union, the EU-Russia Permanent Partnership Council meeting will be held in Paris on 14th and 15th October at the Palais des Affaires étrangères

The Ministry of the Interior, Overseas France and Territorial Communities, the Ministry of Immigration, Integration, National Identity and Mutually-Supportive Development and the Ministry of Justice as well as the European Commission are bringing together the members of the Russian Federation's government who are partners of the three convening ministries, together with representatives of the Czech Republic in its capacity as host of the future presidency of the EU for a new session of the EU-Russia Permanent Partnership Council.

Following on from the session organised by the Slovene Presidency in Saint Petersburg on 24th and 25th April last, this new meeting underpins the importance the member states attach to the existing relations between the European Union and the Russian Federation on the issues of Freedom, Security and Justice.

This Justice and Home Affairs Council will also be attended by representatives of the General Secretariat of the Council, Eurojust, Europol and Frontex.
