Statement by the Presidency of the Council of the European Union on the Earthquake in southern Kyrgyzstan

The Presidency of the Council of the European Union conveys its deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the 74 victims killed by the earthquake in southern Kyrgyzstan on the evening of 5 October. The Presidency joins Kyrgyzstan in national mourning on 7 October and wishes to assure Kyrgyzstan’s government of its full solidarity in these tragic circumstances.
