Declaration by the Presidency of the Council of the European Union on the Attacks in Mexico

The Presidency of the Council of the European Union strongly condemns the deadly attacks carried out in Morelia on the night of 15 to 16 September during celebrations of Mexico’s national day.
It conveys its deepest condolences to the victims’ families and loved ones as well as to the Mexican authorities. It expresses its support to the Mexican government in its determined fight against organised crime.
