On Tuesday 16 September, the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union organised a meeting of EU and Latin American ambassadors in Madrid to debate EU-Latin American relations. The meeting was attended by Spanish Secretary of State for Iberoamerica Trinidad Jiménez and Secretary General of the Iberoamerican Secretariat Enrique Iglesias.
