Conference on micro-credit

The annual conference of the European Microfinance Network will be held in Nice from 8 to 10 September and will be organised in partnership with EUROFI, a think tank dedicated to financial integration in Europe. It builds on the extension of measures taken by the European Parliament and Commission in support of micro-credit.

Quality assurance in higher education establishments in Europe

European meeting between States and trade unions to combat work-related stress

Representatives of the European Union Member States and trade unions will meet on 9 September 2008 to produce a draft text to combat work-related stress in public administrations. These discussions will take place within the framework of the experimental forum established by EUPAN (European Public Administration Network), and TUNED (Trade Unions' National and European Administration Delegation).

European Cultural Season

To mark its Presidency of the Council of the European Union, France is launching a ground-breaking initiative by inviting its 26 EU partners to showcase the best of their heritage and creative talent during the second half of 2008.
Under the title of the European Cultural Season, this series of events will highlight the creative vitality of European cultures as well as the strengths of a largely shared identity through a common European cultural heritage.
Hundreds of events have been staged around France to bring this Europe of creation and heritage to as many people as possible.
