Meeting of the Directors-General for Higher Education

The meeting of the Directors-General for higher education will provide an opportunity to exchange experiences of modernisation projects undertaken in Member States of the European Union.
This meeting will take place on 8 September 2008 in Strasbourg and will also provide an opportunity to discuss themes of common interest regarding the construction of a European Higher Education Area.
It will specifically discuss questions pertaining to professionalisation of curricula in the context of generalisation of lifelong learning and diversification of strategies of higher education institutions.
The meeting will also allow exchanges between Directors-General and representatives of the Commission with regard to new projects that the latter would like to debate.
