Launch of the environmental education project of the French League for Bird Protection

To involve secondary school students in European policies during the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the French League for Bird Protection (LPO) has set them a project on a key environmental issue for Europe: the protection of migratory birds.
At the launch of this project, the French League for Bird Protection (LPO) will present EU policies which affect the protection of migratory birds:
- the Birds and Habitats Directives;
- the Natura 2000 network;
- the Common Agriculture Policy.
The "Europe in Flight" project involves 25 secondary schools in France and 25 in Bulgaria, in liaison with the LPO's Bulgarian counterpart, the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds. The launch will also provide the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds with the opportunity to present their work to LPO officers.
