Meeting of the EU-Republic of Korea troika on the margins of the ASEAN Regional Forum

On 24 July, Rama Yade, Minister of State to the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, with responsibility for Foreign Affairs and Human Rights, will chair the European Union-Republic of Korea troika, which will also be attended by representatives of the European Commission, Council of the European Union and the Czech Republic.
On 24 July, Rama Yade, Minister of State to the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, with responsibility for Foreign Affairs and Human Rights, will chair the European Union-Republic of Korea troika, which will also be attended by representatives of the European Commission, Council of the European Union and the Czech Republic.
This troika will be held in Singapore on the margins of the ASEAN Regional Forum. It will help to prepare the EU-Republic of Korea summit planned for October 2008 on the occasion of the ASEM meeting in Beijing. Participants will also discuss the negotiation of a Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (PAC) and a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the EU and the Republic of Korea as well as the regional situation in Asia (particularly in the Korean peninsula) and in Europe.
