Declaration by the Presidency of the Council of the European Union on the attack in Islamabad

The Presidency of the Council of the European Union condemns in the strongest possible terms the attack committed in Islamabad on Sunday 6 July which claimed the lives of 11 Pakistani police officers.
The Presidency expresses its sympathy with the families of the victims and the Pakistani security forces, which have once again been put to the test.
The Presidency reiterates its support for the Pakistani government in the fight against terrorism.
