Conference "Women for Europe" (Schuman Foundation, association "Femmes Débat et Société", le Lien Public, Sciences Po)

How to raise awareness among women of the value added generated by Europe and reinforce the links between female citizens and Europe? This is the subject of the conference "Women for Europe".
Europe represents an opportunity for women (mobility of students, education, equality between men and women, non-violence, etc.). However, they are less conscious than men of the advantages that they gain and can expect from it. The conference on "Women for Europe", placed under the patronage of the French President and organised by the Robert Schuman Foundation, the association "Femmes Débat et Société", with le Lien Public, Sciences Po and the European Commission, aims to raise awareness among women of the value added generated by Europe. In the three planned panel sessions, top-level European personalities from various fields will offer proposals to reinforce the links between women citizens and Europe:
- What are the values that European women have in common?
- How can Europe help to reduce inequality between men and women, starting with training and access to careers? How can it help women to balance their personal and professional lives?
- What contribution can European women make to a more "humanist" approach to globalisation (social affairs, microcredit, the environment and sustainable development, development aid, etc.)?
