With blue floodlighting and a circle of twelve stars, the Eiffel Tower will be donning the colours of Europe every evening from 30 June onwards.
To mark the beginning of the French Presidency of the European Union, the Eiffel Tower will be donning the colours of Europe every evening from 30 June onwards. Bernard Kouchner, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, will inaugurate this event on 30 June at 11 pm, on the "Parvis des Droits de l'Homme" at the Trocadero esplanade in Paris, in the presence of the Ambassadors of the 26 Member States. The Eiffel Tower will be illuminated in blue and the twelve stars of Europe will shine out from the north side of the Tower, facing the Seine.
